OCT East is a large-scale comprehensive eco-tourism project of OCT group with a gross investment of 3 billions RMB. It is listed as one of the major construction projects from 2003 to 2006 by the Shenzhen government.

The project covers a total area of 9 square kilometers and lies in the east coast of Shenzhen–Sanzhoutian of Dameisha area to be exact. Utilizing the mountain and sea surroundings, OCT East has in its early stage selectively learned from the success of other OCT tourism endeavors, incorporating the ideas of nature, ecology, science and experience to build a comprehensive and interactive tourist zone. Aiming at "bringing urbanites back to nature", OCT East insists on innovations and developing Cyclic Economy and has designed a series of tourist attractions with unique cultural and thematic distinctions, including three valleys (Knight Valley, Tea Stream Valley and Wind Valley); three towns (Interlaken Town, Seafield Town and Ancient Tea Town), three streets (Seafield Street, Sounds of Nature Street and Hydro Street in Art Land) and three tribes (Tribe in the Cloud, Tea-Zen Adventure and Flower Clock Church). In a word, eco-resources are put into proper use to create a harmonious place for men and nature.The finished and soon-to-be-finished items include Wind Valley, Tea Stream Valley, Interlaken Town, Ancient Tea Town, the five-star Interlaken Spring Hotel and Spa Center.

The pre-open date of the first phase of the project is set for Spring Festival, 2007. OCT East is only a 20 minutes' ride away from downtown Shenzhen. Within two hours by car one can reach any of the following cities, namely Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macao, Dongguan and other cities in the Pearl River Delta. The project is adjacent to Yanba, Hengping, Jihe, Guangshen, Shenguan, Shenhui, Shenshan, and Yanpai express roads so that it is very convenient coming from all directions. The pleasant and comfortable environment of OCT East will lead a brand-new life-style which is to enjoy nature, preserve health, cherish life and enjoy life.
